Village of Walloon Lake

Walloon Lake, Michigan

The project consisted of the formation of an entirely new Village Center focusing on Walloon Lake, village square and a 26 room “grand” hotel with a promenade porch celebrating view of water and landscape. Two 32,000 square foot Town Square Buildings designed on opposite corners of the village square, provide the “enclosure” that not only frame views of the lake, but establish the setting for village shops and housing. This mixed-use building of retail/ commercial spaces is designed to include two stories of housing above.  Additional schematic design concepts of  Live/Work Town homes and various Cottage Designs for the hotel facility create an appealing historic architectural theme reminiscent of Queen Anne, Arts and Crafts, Victorian, and Federalist styles.
